The M4 metro line connects SAW directly to Kadıköy. The journey takes approximately 50 minutes and costs a few lira per trip — the cheapest public option. At Kadıköy, connections are available to ferries and the Marmaray line for intercontinental travel. At Ayrılık Çešmesi, you can transfer to the Marmaray towards Sirkeci and the European side. The metro is practical for solo travellers with minimal luggage heading to Asian-side destinations. For Taksim or Sultanahmet, at least one or two transfers are required.
HAVABUS operates shuttle services from SAW to Kadıköy (approximately 40 minutes) and Taksim (approximately 70–80 minutes). Shuttles depart approximately every 30–40 minutes from the arrivals level. Return services from Taksim depart from the Divan Hotel area. Shuttles are budget-friendly but operate on fixed schedules, have limited luggage space, and drop passengers at fixed stops — not at your hotel door.
Metered taxis are available at the official taxi rank at the SAW arrivals exit. Fares are meter-based and vary by distance and traffic. Bridge and tunnel tolls are added to the meter. For Taksim, a yellow taxi costs approximately 1,500–2,000 TRY depending on traffic and route; for Sultanahmet, slightly more.
